Oh, what a surprise...the second worst kept secret in F1 after Alonso going to Ferrari is out. Run by former aerospace executive and FOTA ring-leader Big John Howett into the ground, the struggling carmaker made it official today and pulled the plug on the wasteful motorsport unit. Now what, BMW/Qadbak back in, most likely, or, a sale of the team?? More at::
Own a Piece of the Renault F1 Team
Here is a novel offering from Flavio and the Gang, the chance to buy a piece of the ING Renault team. Parts, spares, wing flaps, you name it, it is probably there for sale. Will the modern world ever get enough. Where have gone the days of reading the newspaper ;-). Very cool stuff, check it out --
Ferrari says they'll Quit
If a standard or diesel engine is implemented in F1. This is quite shocking and all the while everyone thought that Ferrari would build the standard engine, yet the FIA says standardization is only one of three options available to the teams to decide upon. This certainly has been an interesting season and with Brazil just a few days away the heat is about to turn up. Hot.....

New Team - McLerrari?
First Mclaren, now Mosley. Now I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but let me get this straight, a five hour (emphasis 5 hour !) orgy.
And the old farts like Stewart and Scheckter are asking him to step
down. Step down?? He's a God. Who lasts 5 hours, even in their
dreams! More to come on this. I'll add a page. Boy, the sport that
just keeps giving. Have I got material for the Wall of Shame. Send me
your additions. Me thinks we have material for a new shirt !! Boyz and girlz, send me your thoughts on a new shirt. It just doesn't get any better then this. Hamilton may not be a Tiger, but maybe Mosley is! www.mclerrari.com
Oh, oh...
Renault, and Flavio have some explain' to do to the FIA. Like what's in Fernando's head, perhaps? High level intrigue and politicking by Mclaren it seems. This has been quite a silly season, hasn't it? more from about.com's brad s. from his day job.
Jenson Button says...
At the tail end of a miserable season (they should take the aero-drag plastic earth wrapper off) JB says Honda will learn from their mistakes. Oh good, wonder about the road cars too. It seems ridiculous that these Japanese teams spend zillions of dollars to tool around at the back.
McLaren fined $100M
As well, losing all their constructors points for 2007, and with a probation to 2008, it seems. The drivers, who likely confirmed it all, will be allowed to race on without penalty. Friday the FIA will issue the full verdict, today read more at news.com
