    Rome the new Home??

    Wednesday, November 24, 2010, 7:37 PM [General]

The officials at Monza are worried that once Rome gets in that it will take the Italian GP away for historic Monza - which is in a tough position because facilities there have been hardly updated and up against a new venue, with more political clout, and probably a higher race fee, you can see where there worries are coming from.

IMHO Monza represents the history, like ol Hockenheim, Spa, Silverstone, etc. If F1 goes away from these tracks soon there will be no history and no F1. Short term economics that cut these ties will eventually be left without anything. It is proven over and over.

The Rome GP is a bad idea, all around. F1 fans, this is your sport too. Have your say!

Hunt the Shunt and the 33

    Thursday, October 14, 2010, 6:59 PM [General]

Ex-world champ James Hunt, F1's former notorious playboy, is profiled here in a feature tying in to the latest world happenings and his pre-race superstitions. Sloppy reading yet great photos from the 70's particularly of Hunt with Stirling Moss, who was quite a hipster in his day. All for the sake of shameless self promotion and selling papers, good fun nonetheless. Enjoy --

Globe and Mail - messes up F1

    Thursday, March 4, 2010, 8:26 PM [General]

The Canadian 'Mop & Pail' as known to us ex-pats, rips into F1, again, and Mosley in particular in what us F1QA'ers have come to know as another 'let the middle class hate F1' media article on behalf of the Toronto based conglomerate. Still bummed that Montreal has the GP and T.O. only has the giant phallic symbol in the sky, this is why alot us choose to get our F1 news elsewhere. read the bias here:

    F1 wants to Die?

    Thursday, March 19, 2009, 11:07 PM [General]

Seemingly, says Toyota's Jarno Trulli, as also joined by Mark Webber and others over the latest technical regulations and ideas for 2010 and beyond. Certainly there will be further discussion before anything's decided, but it definitely seems like a lot is going to change, whether anybody likes it or not.

    F1 Team, Ferrari

    Thursday, February 12, 2009, 8:01 PM [General]

It has emerged that in the disaster of 2008 that the carmakers suffered, the prancing horse emerged as the only manufacturer to turn a profit! Adding the world constructors title and increasing merchandise sales while also at it. We all know that Ferrari also won the drivers championship as well, with both Kimi and Felipe together versus the selfish Hamilton. Big things ahead for the scuderia...

    Hotel Costs Rise...

    Monday, January 19, 2009, 7:30 PM [General]

In F1 these recent years the costs of hotels for not ony spectators but the teams as well has risen astronomically with Montreal (au revoir), Monaco and Bahrain notably advantageous. Like with other sports these need to be controlled otherwise the single-minded operators will take advantage all day, and night long.
